About the Chef…
Chef Mateo Otero is an award-winning chef, entrepreneur, and proud Tucson native with over 20 years of culinary experience. Inspired by the food traditions of Sonora and his family, Mateo built his career around celebrating the flavors, culture, and heritage of Southern Arizona. In 2017, he opened Rollies Mexican Patio, bringing his vision of “Sonoran Tucson Food” to life through traditional recipes, heritage ingredients, and a fun, modern twist.
