About the Chef…
Mateo Otero is an award-winning Chef and a proud Tucson Native. With over 20 years of culinary experience he opened up Rollies Mexican Patio on South 12th Avenue in 2017 which serves up delicious traditional Mexican cuisine using heritage foods that Mateo likes to call, “Sonoran Tucson Food” with a fun modern twist. In such a short time Rollies has already become a “Tucson Staple” and “Foodie Destination” that has been featured all over T.V., YouTube and other social media outlets.
Rollies has also consistently held its certification with the UNESCO City of Gastronomy. Mateo is active with his community and has used his restaurant as his platform to give back to our surrounding schools and community based organizations.
